$750 Reward
The Blue Ridge Acres Civic Association is offering a standing $750 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction related to any property crime perpetrated against property in Blue Ridge Acres. This includes the recent break-ins and the pool house fire.
You can also anonymously report tips or suspicious activity here or call the Sheriff's office at 728-3205.

Resurrection of the Blue Ridge Acres News
Kelly Riner and Amy Hartman are planning on resurrecting the Blue Ridge Acres News newsletter and they are looking for your assistance. If you have any news items, stories of interest, or stories of times past (i.e., history of BRA items), please email Kelly at riner6712@frontiernet.net or Amy at AmleesssinWV@comcast.net by July 15, 2007. We are trying to get the first issue out by the end of July, then will publish it 3-4 times per year. We plan to cover everything from Civic news to Community Club news to Community News.
Also, we would like to have a classified ad section. You can also send us your advertisements of items for sale, services available, etc.

Winter Road Maintenance
Blue Ridge Acres inclement weather road maintenance guidelines:
Snow
All roads will be plowed if the snow is deeper than 3". If snowfall in excess of 3" is expected, we will begin plowing sooner.
Ice
Blacktop roads are treated with gravel for traction and salt. Gravel roads are treated wil gravel. Salt will not be used on gravel roads as it causes premature thawing of the road surface and leads to damage.
Please avoid parking vehicles in the street. This makes it difficult to plow. We will do our best not to block your driveway with snow. However, please understand that at times, especially with deep snow, this is nearly impossible.

A Jefferson County neighborhood watch website is now available. Members can file reports of suspicious activity, crimes or other issues. Reports are presented on a mapbased interface. This may be a useful tool for tracking loose dogs, ATVs and vandals in Blue Ridge Acres.

Small Dog Found on Chestnut Hill Road
A small dog was found tonight (5:30pm 25th of October) on Chestnut Hill Road, about 1/4 mile south of Blue Ridge Acres. The dog is very small, black and white, with long hair. It was trailing a red leash. The dog was wet and cold but appeared to be unharmed. A concerned bystander has taken it home and will provide food and shelter until the owner is found. If you know who this dog may belong to please call 728-7672.

26th Annual meeting of the Blue Ridge Acres Civic Association
The 2005 annual meeting of the members of the Blue Ridge Acres Civic Association will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005, at 1:00pm.
The following business is up for consideration:
- Election of 2 Directors
- Consideration and vote on the proposed budget
- Any other business that properly comes before the board
All members (homeowners) who are current on their road maintenance fees have the right to vote at the meeting or by proxy. You should be receiving the meeting packet and your proxy in the mail shortly.
The meeting will be held at the Blue Ridge Mountain Fire Department, located just off Chestnut Hill Road (State Route 32) in Keys Ferry Acres. Map and Directions.
Please plan on attending and encourage your neighbors to attend.
