Winter Road Maintenance
Blue Ridge Acres inclement weather road maintenance guidelines:
Snow
All roads will be plowed if the snow is deeper than 3". If snowfall in excess of 3" is expected, we will begin plowing sooner.
Ice
Blacktop roads are treated with gravel for traction and salt. Gravel roads are treated wil gravel. Salt will not be used on gravel roads as it causes premature thawing of the road surface and leads to damage.
Please avoid parking vehicles in the street. This makes it difficult to plow. We will do our best not to block your driveway with snow. However, please understand that at times, especially with deep snow, this is nearly impossible.
